With our newest integration, Miro and Notably can work seamlessly together.

Connect your Miro account here.

Note: Editing of imported content is one-way only. Changes made in Notably will not be reflected in Miro.

How it works:

  1. Use Miro for notes, workshops, or brainstorming sessions.

  2. In Notably, under ‘Analysis,’ select ‘Import Miro Board’ in a new or existing project.

  3. Choose a Miro board to import into Notably.

Tips for getting the most out of Miro + Notably

  1. In Affinity Mapping, central concepts or ideas emerge as themes. Frames in Miro become Themes in Notably, allowing for instant theme visualization in Charts and AI-generated Insights.

  2. Tagging is a key step to identify patterns in data. Any tags in Miro are imported as project tags in Notably, enhancing data searchability, segmentation, and AI-generated Insights.

  3. Color adds an extra layer of meaning to data. The sticky color from Miro will also be imported for you to use and ‘Recolor’ in Notably.

Can I undo my import from Miro?

When you are importing your Miro board using the integration, you can click 'undo' upon initial import. However, beyond this initial import an 'undo' button is not supported on the Notably canvas (yet!)

I am receiving errors, why is my board not importing, or importing incorrectly?

My board has tables...

Currently, Miro does not support exporting tables through their API. So, if your board has tables on your canvas, you may run into errors when trying to import this board to Notably. However, if you use shapes/lines on your Miro board to draw your framework, you will have more success when trying to import this to your Notably project.

I am having formatting issues...

Fonts and Colors may not be an exact match as your Miro board, and sticky note sizes may vary. If you are having other unexpected formatting issues, please reach out to us in support chat and we will be happy to help.

There is a connection issue...

If you are receiving an error, there could be an issue with the miro connection. Try disconnecting your integration, refreshing your screen, and reconnecting. From here it should be working as expected again.

If you are receiving errors unrelated to the above, please reach out via support and we will get to the bottom of it.

Can I only import to Notably via the Integration?

Utilizing the Miro integration is the quickest and easiest way to import a Miro board to Notably. But, you can also import your miro board via a .csv file.

  1. From your Miro board, click "Export this Board" from your toolbar.

  2. Choose "Export to Spreadsheet" to download a .csv file of your board.

  3. Then, in your Notably project click File > Import Notes and select your .csv file.

Note: You may need to reformat your .csv file before importing it to Notably. View .csv formatting instructions here.

Will my changes in Notably be reflected on my Miro board?

No. The import to Notably is only one way, so any changes you have made to the content on your Notably canvas will not be reflected on your Miro board.

Can I export my Notably board and Import to Miro?

You can always export your Notably canvas as a .csv file, however this does not directly translate to a supported file type for importing to Miro. You can however upload your CSV file to Google Drive, and import via their Google Drive Integration, or copy and paste each individual cell from your file as sticky note.

Another option is to export your Notably canvas as an image, and add that to your Miro board if needed.
