Insights are high-level summaries within research projects. They're a powerful way to summarize and transfer knowledge, especially when they are linked with evidence.

You can think of insights as thematic takeaways from your research project - these are those nuggets of wisdom that are shared as an output from your research.

What is an Insight in Notably?

Inside a Notably project, you can create documents from scratch to write down your takeaways, or you can generate Insights with AI.

3 Ways to create an Insight:

  • From Scratch in your Insights tab. When you navigate to the Insights tab within a project, you can create a "New Insight". This will open a blank document for you to work from.

  • From Scratch in your Analysis tab. When you are on you canvas within a project, you can create, you can create a "New Insight" from the right side panel. This is especially helpful to be able to see your data while you are writing your thoughts.

  • Generated with AI from Analysis. When you are on the canvas within a project, you can generate a new Insight from a collection of tags, themes, or the entire project. These AI Insights are generated based on the Template of your choice.

What are the Insights that are shown on the Home Page?

Your Home page features your most recent insights from across all of your projects. This is especially helpful to see the new knowledge and wisdom from your entire team, rather than insights only living within a project.

Can I share insights?

Yes! Insights can be shared by using the URL, or generating a public link.
